Bird's eye view

Thanks for image, Maru chan. If it gets included (by you, someone else, or me), I imagine it should be scaled down just a little, as well as have the bottom clipped off (but keeping the Google logo for sure- just removing that one line at the very bottom?). It's pretty detailed, which makes up for the grayness. On a similar note: I was wondering if it would be worth creating one of those navigation panels that Wikipedia employs, for example, in their Islam articles.
I remember the trees a lot greener from my human eye view, and so I made two enhance edits: I put them on a single page with your original for comparison purposes. The drawback is that if someone chooses to post one, it is probably best that they be marked as having been edited. I do wonder, though, how much "editing" is done by the satellite (Google uses s's right?). View the Images.

It occurred to me that that google-earth image is out of date. Please verify for me. But it looks like it is a snapshot from the time before the Ferguson construction was finished, or the traffic circle near YR was established. In fact, it seems that it might be from the time, long gone, when Shoe Lane had that straight connect to Warwick.

Flow agrees:

You're correct, it is an old image. Hopefully the Google satellite will make another pass our way sometime soon.

Page Status / Suggestions

Hmmm... I'm having something like writer's block with this article.

Please don't put every single club, etc., in the respective category. That should go on a separate page. Something like List of Student Clubs, List of Student Groups...
(Just to clarify, this page is no long a WIP. I'm not requesting that anyone consult with me anymore, though I will still be willing to discuss changes.)

It occurs to me that the following sections should be added (in some way): A map with interactive clicking through to various locations, and directions about driving to/from the University. Also, maybe a section on places around campus, e.g., restaurants and the like? Or should we make a local community article?

Departments

How should we write out the various departments? The list as found on the school website is

Accounting, Economics, & Finance
Biology, Chemistry & Environmental Science
Communication Studies
English
Fine Art & Art History
Government & Public Affairs
History
Interdisciplinary Studies
Leadership Studies
Library Science
Management & Marketing
Mathematics
Modern & Classical Languages & Literatures
Music
Philosophy & Religious Studies
Physics, Computer Science, & Engineering
Psychology
Social Work
Sociology & Anthropology
Theater & Dance

This does not seem to include Military Science (ROTC) or MAT studies, but then perhaps they are not formally departments?

Testing of graphics

I think we might not want to do this, b/c of loading time. The images are too large. So I suggest making thumbnails, and putting redirects for the thumbnails to the big images, and using thumbnail pics here instead.
