History

Delta Omicron Chapter

The second fraternity on campus, Sigma Tau Gamma formed a colony in 1984 and then got chartered in 1987. As a fraternity, Sigma Tau Gamma became innovators, bringing new ideas and events to the CNU Community. To this day, the brothers of Sigma Tau Gamma introduce new ideas to CNU and break ground where other groups wont. Among their innovations, the brothers of Sigma Tau Gamma were the first to help out with the White Ribbon Campaign at CNU, working with the OCCS to help spread the message to protect women against domestic violence.

Our chapter also has or has had brothers involved in the President Leadership Program, as Resident Assistants and Front Desk Assistants, Police Aides, Varsity Atheletes, Class Presidents, SGA Officers, and leaders in several other campus organizations including CAB, the Campus Activity Board, and Alpha Phi Omega, a co-ed National Service Fraternity.

On September 12, 2006, the Delta Omicron Chapter was officially reintroduced to campus and became a member of IFC.

Nationals

Sigma Tau Gamma was founded in 1920 at the Central Missouri Teacher's College (now known as Central Missouri State University). It was founded by a group of guys who fought together as pilots during World War I.
