The Old Student Center was the nexus of the campus (insert year range), spanning two floors, and once having facilities ranging from dining to theater to counseling to office space.

Now it is temporarily housing some of the library, including the reference section and rare and old books (and things). The upper floors are used by the library and are "off-limits". Counseling Services is still housed on the first floor, although Career services (which split off from Counseling) is to be found on the 3rd floor of the new Student Union.

History: Spring 2005 and Before

There are on the first floor, the dining hall Regattas and Discovery Cafe, the Office of Student Life, the Card Captain's Office, the Catering Office, the Scheduling Office, Gaine's Theater, the Campus Bookstore, The Office of Career and Counseling, and adequate open and unclaimed areas for such purposes as meeting, socializing, and (in the breezeway) promoting special interests. There is also a private office of the judiciary. The second floor contains all the offices for the student organizations, as well as the Student Government Association, some judicial offices, the student newspaper, the Multicultural Student Association, and United Campus Ministries.
