Home to many members of the PCSE department, the Gosnold Commons is the central room adjoining the two lateral halves of Gosnold. It is distinguished by being a single-story part of the building, as opposed to the rest, and it has its own set of rarely used doors. It is adjoined to some of the piping and building system rooms, which lie behind locked doors; also, it has a few Mac computers that are Internet-enabled. Attendance to this room varies from intermittent vacancy to study groups to soporific collapse on one of the comfy couches about it.

Occasionally, special events will be hosted here. For example, a Battleship network game demonstration was held here, and the reception for one of the programming contests was as well.

Flow sometimes sleeps here.
