Game Development Club
From CNUpedia, an IEEE Innovation.
The Game Development Club (Game-dev for short) is an unofficial group of students interested in building, designing, and learning about video games, particular those found on the computer. It is a recent startup, and, as such, is open to suggestions and plans, as well as anyone wishing to contribute. On the flipside, however, this means that it has not had the fortune of devising a clear self-concept.

Mission
Tentatively, Game-dev wishes to gather interested programmers, artists, authors, and administrators, no matter the skill level. Those who have a creative mind but are new to programming, or in such situations, are welcome. It would be most helpful, however, if one is willing to practice and work some basic skills in any of the above disciplines.
Status
The game development club is working on a concrete project, called Alcander's Quest. It will feature a Zelda-style interface, with an Odyssey and Illiad-inspired setting. It is still in the early planning stages, but the details are being fleshed out. Details can be found on the forum (see the resources).
Contributions
Members of the club have written some demos, provided certain example engines, and other things. The club has not made any official releases.
