Do I need to register to use this site?
No, not if all you are doing is editing pages, surfing, or looking at what pages have recently changed. However, a user account is useful for those wishing to customize various options. It is also necessary for uploading images. Keep in mind, also, that the IP address (the identity of the computer on the network) is logged when pages are edited by users who haven't logged in, so the computer used CAN be tracked (to an extent). So, a user account may increase your anonymity.
