From CNUpedia, an IEEE Innovation.

This article has an unofficial status
This page informally describes the application process for joining the CNUpedia staff.

This is the page devoted to describing the application process for becoming an administrator. "Administrator" refers not only to those granted special privileges to moderate pages, but also people willing to devote time consistently to assist in additional ways. In this sense, except for moderating, becoming an administrator means taking a formal role.

Different roles may last for different lengths of time, but it is the focus during that time which of singular importance.

The Application

What follows is an outline of questions you might answer. As of now, none of them is required, and you may omit any questions you feel uncomfortable with, or substitute. Certainly, you must still provide us with some idea of what you want to do, and why.

Basic Info

  1. What is your name?
  2. How may we contact you?
  3. Are you a student? If so, what year are you?
  4. Major?
  5. Background with computers?
  6. History with wikis, and skills?

Desired Role

  1. What do you think of CNUpedia? Its purpose? Potential?
  2. What do you wish to do as an administrator? What kind of role will you serve?
  3. Why is this important to you?
  4. Since many tasks can be done without any special status, and it is typical in many wikis to discern administrators from those who already are eager contributors, what motivates you to take on a formal position?

Modus Operandi

  1. Have you contributed to CNUpedia in the past? Which articles and under which aliases?
  2. What kind of a worker are you: E.g., do you have creative bursts, are you a consistent worker, ...?
  3. How much time do you think you can regularly commit to CNUpedia?
  4. How long do you think you would be willing to serve?
